Embodied VoiceWork: Navigating Paths through Pain
Abstract
Embodied VoiceWork originated out of my need to learn how to navigate eccentric migraine and powerful neurological pain as a child. The personal processes that I discovered became the groundwork of EVW, a method of improvisational non-verbal singing that is applied in Music Therapy, Arts Education and Human Potential work.
Our hour will begin with a short talk about the origins and theory of this work. We will then connect, breath, listen and sing together. There will be a short time for questions as we conclude.
